Cash Register System

Our developers presented a cash register and office background system developed for MOL as early as 1997. It ran for years on IBM hardware at approximately 400 fuel stations and more than 600 cash registers in Hungary, Croatia, and Slovenia.

Our new, fully comprehensive cash register system is currently under development and testing!

Office Background System

This is the part of the GIA forecourt system that enables the cash register subsystem to access all the necessary data and settings for operation, supports user permissions assignment, and handles required settings, maintenance, and listing operations.

Fuel Dispenser Controller

The TCont forecourt controller is an industrial computer-based device, entirely designed in-house and built from standard components that meet the highest technical standards. It complies with MSZ EN 60950:1998, MSZ EN 55022:2000 Class A, MSZ EN 55024:2000, MSZ EN 61000-3-2:1997, and MSZ EN 61000-3-3:1997 standards. It contains no moving parts and stores its software and configuration values on a solid-state disk. The modular design allows for quick and simple future expansion. The operating software is fully self-developed, mainly written in assembly language, and works on a time-sharing basis.

The device can simultaneously control two or four dispenser lines via galvanically isolated RS232, RS485, and/or current loop ports, depending on its configuration—up to 2×8=16 or 4×8=32 dispenser sides (fueling points). The control mode (serial or current loop) and dispenser types can differ line by line.

Capable of controlling the following dispenser types

Without interface card, directly

Without interface card, via current loop driver

With existing interface card in the dispenser

With Kontrel MPX device

The controller communicates via Ethernet with GIA POS 3 cash registers or via IFSF protocol. The registers are equal peers, and fuel price adjustments (depending on dispenser type) happen automatically. When closing the register, the controller automatically transfers its electronic register readings.

The controller is an integrated part of several APEH/NAV/MKEH/BFKH-certified cash register systems and has been used at hundreds of reference stations within MOL’s network and privately owned fuel stations in Hungary, Romania, Croatia, and Slovenia.

Tcont server software

Can be run on any computer on the local network, including the cash register, requiring no dedicated hardware. It can be managed remotely.
